Fortnite
Fortnite is one of the fastest growing video game of recent times. It was first teased by Epic Games in 2011. It took them 6 years to officially launch it in mid of 2017.
Just after 2 month of it’s launch Epic Games floated new idea of Fortnite Battle Royale (Free-to-play mode). It was much similar to PUBG. This exploded and started getting more and more popularity day by day.

Minecraft has 5 types of pickaxes. They are core part of the gameplay as the name says Minecraft so it’s all about mining resources. Pickaxes play an important role in mining.
Fortnite has pretty cool pickaxes as well but we dont really need a pickaxe to win the game.

Fortnite players have built some amazing bases. Many gamers live stream their gameplay and one can only imagine how impressive those structures are.
Comparably, Minecraft is still ahead in this race. People have made complete cities using simple building blocks!

Fortnite has been getting popularity day by day. It’s player base has reached 250 million with around 50 million active monthly players.
Minecraft still leads this by more than 91 million active monthly players now. It also holds the record of most sold game in the world.
Features & Updates
Minecraft was released for most of the devices and consoles out there. It’s continuously being released for new devices and platforms. There are not much updates in terms of gameplay though. Important to mention that there is a huge update coming in that will improve the existing elements.
Fortnite has improved drastically after initial release. After two months of its launch, Epic announced a major update adding Free-to-play mode. There are new items and updates going on everyday. Even they organized in game online events. Marshmello hosted an in game online concert.

Although, it seems that Fortnite is gaining more popularity day by day but still it’s far behind Minecraft. Being the most selling game in history, it still stands its ground and continues to attract more players.
